Topic: Zoologist

The Zoo isn't just for kids!!!
Because they are researchers, zoologists for the most part make up their hours and research what they need to research, when they need to research it.
I think that if some people would actually research this project, they may find it to be a great profession that they want to pursue as opposed to a joke.
Now, in comparison to earlier years, zoologists study broader areas like ecology, genetics and biochemistry.

ZOOLOGISTS - Department of Zoology, University of Toronto
But that researcher (a Mycologist), is a Zoologist as much as is the field researcher, zookeeper or zoo curator.
From Webster's definition above, a Zoologist is a Biologist who specializes in the study of animals.
Zoology encompasses many fields and disciplines, therefore specific questions such as "What does a Zoologist do?" or "What is the salary for a Zoologist?" do not have a simple answer.

Re: What is it like to be a zoologist?
Zoologists can predict what's closely related using their techniques of observation and analysis.
Zoologists are the ones who tell you what's endangered, what's LIKELY to be endangered, and what's gone extinct.
I'll try to tell you as much as I can about what it's like to be a zoologist.

 Zoologist
Zoologists study all aspects of animal life, including their habitats, anatomy, life histories and physiology.
Sometimes a zoologist's research can be used in developing medicines.
Many zoology graduates work in related life sciences occupations and as such may not refer to themselves as zoologists.

Re: Can I interview a Zoologist?
That may sound like a lot, but good zoologists need to see problems as part of a larger picture rather than in the minimalist/ reductionist view.
Lastly, I would say that having an understanding of molecular biology techniques is very important even if you do not use them yourself.
Taxonomy, the classic work of zoologists, has been revolutionized by the comparative analysis of proteins and nucleic acids.
