 Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
Behaviours that interfere with the quality of life are such things as drug or alcohol abuse, sexual promiscuity, high risk behaviour and the like.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy is an innovative method of treatment that has been developed specifically to treat this difficult group of patients in a way which is optimistic and which preserves the morale of the therapist.
These are any behaviours by the patient or therapist that interfere in any way with the proper conduct of therapy and risk preventing the patient from getting the help she needs.

 Behaviour
When kittens reach sexual maturity their behaviour can change and they may become increasingly independent as the juvenile period of development ends and they become adult cats.
During this phase of development the behaviour patterns expressed by a cat do not change significantly, but there is a gradual improvement of motor skills associated with the increase in muscle development and improvement in neuromuscular coordination.
The time of weaning also affects the development of play behaviour.

 Cat Behaviour
The Jackobsen's Organ is also connected to the part of the cats brain concerned with sexual behaviour and appetite.
This behaviour comes from kittenhood, kittens knead their mother while suckling to make the milk flow more freely.

 Sexual Development and Behaviour
Psychosexual Development is a broad term that can be considered the process of growing and maturing physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually so that there is a healthy balance between the physical/biological aspects of sexual behaviour and the psychological and emotional context in which the behaviour occurs.
It is thus more appropriate to view a child or adult’s sexual feelings, knowledge and behaviours within the context of that person’s physical, cognitive, and emotional development.
Health thus refers to a situation in which a person is able to achieve emotionally intimate relationships, and in which the sexual behaviours arise out of a desire for physical and emotional intimacy rather than out of a distorted attempt to meet some other emotional need.

Robert L. Spitzer: Can Some Gay Men and Lesbians Change Their Sexual Orientation?
This at the least is a change in heterosexual behaviour (namely, they began being involved in heterosexual sexual behaviour) and a change in heterosexual attraction.
One could potentially have asked subjects' spouses, if applicable, questions about sexual activity and about their perception of their partner's satisfaction, etc. For those subjects who had been in therapy, one could potentially have asked the therapists to confirm, refute, or cast in doubt the changes that their clients were reporting.
Spitzer's goal in carrying out this research was to "study the self-reported experiences of individuals who claim to have achieved a change from homosexual to heterosexual attraction that has lasted at least five years".

 Sexual Attraction
He did make a major contribution by drawing attention to the existence of childhood sexuality, however, and the problem of incest avoidance has continued to arouse interest among primatologists as well as among students of human behaviour.
I have always found Freud's notions of stages in infantile sexuality ("oral", "anal" etc) and the notions of "oedipal" or "castration" complexes to be extremely difficult to accept.
The incest taboo exists to counteract this strong natural inclination of human beings to engage in incestuous behaviour.

Rewriting the boundaries of social discourse: collaborative inquiry into women's sexual identity development - Brooks Ann K., Edwards, Kathleen
We had assumed that one's sexual identity was a description of one's sexual behaviour and discovered as we listened to each woman's narrative history that although the two are related, they are not the same.
Sexual identity seemed to be more a reflection of a cultural identification than sexual behaviour.
Our sexual identities situate those aspects we consider to be most intimate at the intersection between self and culture or public and private.

Penis-Exercise.net / Scientific articles on yohimbine / Yohimbine and apomorphine increase sexual appetite
Abstract: The possible interaction of yohimbine with the dopaminergic system in the mediation of sexual behaviour expression in sexually exhausted male rats was investigated.
Data suggest that the dopaminergic system might be the final pathway for the yohimbine-induced sexual behaviour expression in satiated rats.
Yohimbine interacts with the dopaminergic system to reverse sexual satiation: further evidence for a role of sexual motivation in sexual exhaustion.

Patients with antisocial or borderline personality disorder are likely to be at increased risk for suicidal behaviour when they demonstrate comorbid disorders, such as major depressive episodes or substance abuse disorders, when they experience recent negative life events, or when they have a history of childhood sexual abuse.
Finally, Kohut suggested that narcissistic patients may be at less risk of acting out suicidal behaviour once they have established a stable transference within a therapeutic relationship and once the therapist has established some empathic closeness to the patient’s fragmented self (86).

Masters and Johnson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
By attempting to understand the structure, psychology and mechanisms of sexual behaviour, Masters and Johnson provided the ground work for a theory driven approach to treating sexual dysfunction and inadequacy.
Whilst not denying that both Kinsey and Masters and Johnson have been a crucial step in sex research, she believes that we must understand the cultural and personal construction of sexual experience to make the research relevant to sexual behaviour outside the laboratory.

Eduard Bernstein: Abnormal sexual intercourse (1895)
Although the theme of sexual behaviour may not be of paramount significance for the economic and political struggle of social-democracy, the search for an objective means of assessing this side of social life as well is not irrelevant.
However, law and custom do not enquire into this, but proscribe and punish only certain kinds of sexual intercourse, in which even the appearance of a connection with procreation falls away – which in fact are not merely counter to nature, but also counter to normality, which run counter to the firmly maintained fictional norm.

 Genetic Sexual Attractions?
Four of the six he interviewed said they had engaged in a sexual relationship with their birth relative while others described experiences ranging from intense erotic feelings toward their relatives to sexual behaviour such as fondling and touching.
Factors that could contribute to these sexual feelings included the mutual attractiveness of physical similarity and the fact that when they were last together, when the adopted child was six months old and under, their physical relationship could have included fondling and close skin contact.
This may be compounded by any sexual relationship resulting from the attraction.

But extrapolating this to humans is not simple, because unlike the reflex driven behaviour of rodents, human sexual behaviour is influenced by complex conscious decision-making.
But putting this definition into practice is not simple, because sexual orientation does not always correlate with sexual behaviour and some people with homosexual orientations may never engage in homosexual activity.
The authors noted that the observed relationship between sexuality and religiousity, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status provided further evidence of social influences on percieved sexual identity.

Freud's theory, propounded in 1897, that every male infant has an overwhelming sexual desire for his mother, and every female for her father, is the cornerstone of psychoanalytic theory.
Gonyo's reputation as the world's leading GSA "expert" came about largely as a result of her own experience of strong sexual attraction, when, in 1979 and aged 42, she was reunited with her adult son 26 years after she had given him up for adoption.

The need to unravel sex, gender identity and gender roles, patterns of sexual behaviour and sexual meaning, and to move away from the confinement of binary gender categories is well-noted.
The reluctance to openly discuss homosexual behaviours[44] and the need to be discreet has, in the past, removed male homosexuality from public discourse and rendered the Thai lesbian invisible.
For many Asians, the notion of 'coming out' as a means of breaking the silence around homosexuality is a 'very white model.'[82] It is not that questions of sexuality have no significance or legitimacy or priority in Asian contexts, but rather that material conditions affect social priorities differently in Asian cultures, as they do elsewhere.

Young people, crises and suicidal behaviour – through the eyes of the researcher and Henrik Ibsen
Research, including Norwegian research, has demonstrated that a close relationship, particularly to parents, is one of the strongest protections against suicidal behaviour (Gould et al.
We know that young persons are particularly vulnerable to being "infected" by the suicidal behaviour of others, especially within their own family (Grøholt 1999).
Children are more vulnerable when the traumas comprise some of the other crisis aspects, such as loss or problems in close relationships, which may be the case with physical or sexual abuse in a family.

IndividualsÂ’ rights to assume gender roles congruent with their self perceived identity should be respected, rather than limited by what society deems to be acceptable "masculine" or "feminine" behaviour.

Different perceptions of sexuality may also be manifested in terms an individualÂ’s self-image and the extent to which a person identifies their physical or genetic sex.

Sexual identity - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article refers to sexual identity as used by sexologists, rather than to sexual orientation, sexual behaviour, gender identity, gender role or sex
The term sexual identity is used by psychologists and some recent writers in the general area of sexology to describe the gender or sex with which a person identifies, or is identified.
The causes of transgender and transsexuality are not well known, but preliminary evidence may have been found in areas of the brain's structure and size, i.e., on issues of sexual identity that go beyond the status of the genitalia.
