 Parasympathetic
Although acknowledged to be important, very little attention has been given to what role the other arm of the ANS, the parasympathetic nervous system, plays in the stress response.
We don't know (a) to what extent vagal tone can vary independently of sympathetic tone and (b) whether it plays any significant role in the pathogenesis of disease.
The VVC only appears in mammals and is associated with positive as well as negative regulation of heart rate, bronchial constriction, vocalization and contraction of the facial muscles in relation to emotional states (see below).

 The ANS
The impulses of the parasympathetic system reach the organs of the body through the cranial nerves # 3, 7, 9, and 10, and some sacral nerves to the eyes, the gastrointestinal system, and other organs.
The afferent nerves subserving both systems convey impulses from sensory organs, muscles, the circulatory system and all the organs of the body to the controlling centers in the medulla, pons and hypothalamus.
The sympathetic nerves reach their end-organs through more devious pathways down the spinal cord to clusters of sympathetic nerve bodies (ganglia) alongside the spine where the messages are relayed to other nerve bodies (or neurons) that travel to a large extent with the blood vessels to all parts of the body.

Now is the time for the parasympathetic nervous to work to save energy - your blood pressure decreases, your heart beats slower, and digestion can start.

The preganglionic fiber from the medulla or spinal cord projects to ganglia very close to the target organ and makes a synapse.

How Parasympathetic Nerves Tie In With PE and ED…
By strengthening your parasympathetic nervous system and restoring it to its youthful potential, you can revive your erections and then work on solving your premature ejaculation problem.
If the entire parasympathetic nervous division gets charged, the functions of your internal organ will be enhanced and your erection power will be restored.
For the most part, however, even if your testosterone level has dropped, it shouldn’t have dropped so drastically that you are unable to achieve an erection.

Since the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems counteract each other in our bodies, usually only one or the other is in control at any one time.
Therefore, the symptoms we have when we are in distress can be reduced by consciously deciding to bring about the relaxation response through one or more of the above exercises taught on this web site.
The Relaxation Response can be brought about through practicing any one of a great many different coping skills.

Data were therefore collected under six different conditions: control-N, control-H, -sympathetic inhibition-N, -sympathetic inhibition-H, parasympathetic inhibition-N and parasympathetic inhibition-H. Each experimental day was separated by at least one intervening day to allow for drug washout.
Recently, it has been appreciated that during normoxic exercise there is evidence both from the spectral analysis of heart rate variability (Saito and Nakamura, 1995; Tulppo et al.

 Introduction to Cardiovascular Pharmacology
The parasympathetic nervous system innervation of the cardiovascular system is essentially just the innervation of the heart by the vagus nerve.
A rise in mean arterial pressure causes an increase in baroreceptor neuronal activity and gives rise to an increase in vagal tone (activity of the vagus nerve) and a decrease in sympathetic tone.
Short-term changes in blood pressure (time frame of seconds to minutes) are mediated by the autonomic nervous system.

Semen Leakage – A Sign of Weak Parasympathetic Sexual Nerve
Eventually maintaining of erection can be a problem.
Semen leakage is a sign of the weakening of the parasympathetic sexual nerve that keeps the ejaculation valve shut and hold the erection.
However, to hold the erection up and tighten the ejaculation valve, you still need a basic resting potential in the parasympathetic sexual motoring nerve and a continuous burst and burning of testosterone to charge the nerves during sex.

 Questions
The cell bodies of the parasympathetic nervous system are located in the spinal cord (sacral region) and in the medulla.
This is independent of the cause (e.g., exercise, embarrassment, etc.) and is the primary short term control of vascular tone.
Norepinephrine released by the sympathetic nervous system causes vasoconstriction and acetylcholine released by the parasympathetic nervous system cause vasodilation.
http://www.staff.washington.edu/chudler/questions.html

The Autonomic Nervous System (page 1)
Simple reflexes are completed entirely within the organ concerned, whereas more complex reflexes are controlled by the higher autonomic centres in the CNS, principally the hypothalamus.
The actions of Ach at the preganglionic synapses in both the parasympathetic and sympathetic systems is mimicked by nicotine, and all autonomic ganglia are therefore termed nicotinic.
In physiological terms, the parasympathetic system is concerned with conservation and restoration of energy, as it causes a reduction in heart rate and blood pressure, and facilitates digestion and absorption of nutrients, and consequently the excretion of waste products.
