Topic: Lipolysis

Fat Loss, alpha2-Adrenoceptors and Yohimbine, Part I
Lipolysis is the process of breakdown and release of triacylglycerols (TGs) in adipocytes and is intensely regulated.
These mechanisms will not be discussed in depth here except for their role in mediating catecholamine-induced lipolysis.
In vitro and in vivo studies show that adrenoceptor interplay accounts for the potency of catecholamine action and may be partly responsible for gender and site differences in lipolysis (13, 5, 14).

Electro lipolysis employs quite small electric currents, being brought into the cell tissue first by means of very thin long needles, in a later phase via pads that stick onto the skin.
Electro lipolysis on the contrary uses the body's own abilities.
The Simeons-hCG method (Dr A.T.W. Simeons, see The Simeons Method) links up very well with a Lipolysis treatment.
