Evaluating Interference of THC in Hemp Food Products
These findings suggest that even extended ingestion of considerable quantities of currently available hemp foods is not likely to produce urine samples that exceed the 50 ppb cutoff in the immunoassay screening test and a 10 or 15 ppb confirmation cutoff.

t this dose, none of the volunteers exceeded the 50 parts per billion (ppb) cutoff for the immunoassay screening test, applied by federal workplace drug-testing programs.

Auk, The: Corticosterone metabolites can be measured noninvasively in excreta of European Stonechats (Saxicola torquata rubicola)
High-performance liquid chromatography of excreta of a female and a male stonechat injected with tritiated corticosterone showed that corticosterone is excreted in the form of numerous metabolites and that the corticosterone enzyme-immunoassay crossreacted with most of those metabolites.
The objective of this study was to validate an enzyme immunoassay (EIA) to quantify corticosteroid metabolites in excreta of European Stonechats (Saxicola torquata rubicola).
Therefore a non-invasive technique was developed to measure metabolites of corticosterone in excreta of European Stonechats (Saxicola torquata rubicola) using a corticosterone enzyme-immunoassay.

The current study describes the development and application of an immunoassay for the detection of antigens of the parasite Hematodinium in the Norway lobster N.
Use of the immunoassay on tissue samples taken from catches in the Clyde Sea area, Scotland, UK, showed that the pleopod method considerably under-diagnosed infection prevalence in the early part of the season, though this under-diagnosis decreased as infected lobsters in the field progressed from latent and sub-patent to patent infections.
However, the immunoassay failed to detect any infected lobsters during the summer months, suggesting that infection may not be carried over from one season to the next.

Mapping Antibody-Defined Linear Epitopes - Mimotopes
For this method to be practical, the affinity of the antibody for the peptide has to be such that the peptide/antibody complex does not dissociate significantly under the conditions of an immunoassay.
The relevance of peptide epitopes detected with polyclonal antibodies should be checked using a secondary technique such as competition with native antigen; or elution of antibody from the binding peptide, followed by a test of the eluted antibody in a supplementary immunoassay.
Therefore, a number of other methods are used to deduce the nature of individual epitopes [2,3,4,5].

Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine: Immunosuppressants Testing in Transplantation
Immunoassays are easy to perform but relatively nonselective and less accurate because the parent compound and inactive metabolites cannot be separated in relation to their contribution to therapy.2 Reasons for preferring LCMSMS measurements include accuracy, efficiency (results of multiple drugs simultaneously from a single sample extract), and cost containment.
In our comparative studies, concentrations of cyclosporine A and tacrolimus were lower by LCMSMS than by immunoassay, suggesting nonspecific cross-reactivity in the latter.2 These differences alerted us that practitioners accustomed to immunoassay results could be confused by the lower concentrations with respect to drug dosing.
The scientific program included the keynote address by our institution's chief of transplantation surgery on the use of combination immunosuppressant drug therapy.
