Course Objectives: The primary objective of this course is to provide a basis for understanding the acute and chronic physiological responses and adaptations to exercise.
Topics include bioenergetics as related to movement, hormonal responses to exercise, muscular physiology, measurement of work and energy expenditure, exercise metabolism, cardiovascular physiology, respiratory physiology, endurance training effects, and factors relating to ergogenic aids in exercise training.
