Chiropractic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
All chiropractic approaches are based on non-invasive, non-medication approaches, with many based on the use of manipulation as a treatment for mechanical musculoskeletal dysfunction of the spine and extremities.
Chiropractic was founded in 1895 by Daniel David Palmer, and was based on the belief that all health problems could be prevented and treated using "adjustments" of the spine, and sometimes other joints, to correct what he termed "subluxations".
Both chiropractic and mainstream medicine hold that much of the body is controlled by nerve impulses sent to and from the brain along the spinal cord.
