 Boiling Point
Boiling point can be defined as the temperature at which the vapor pressure of a substance is equal to the external pressure.
One way to remedy this problem is to reduce the pressure within the distilling flask sufficiently to lower the boiling point of the substance below it decomposition point.
This decrease in vapor pressure will mean that the temperature will have to be higher before the vapor pressure becomes equal to the external pressure and boiling can begin.

 Boiling Point Elevation
Boiling point can be defined in terms of the vapor pressure of the solvent.
The math relationship for this relationship between boiling point change and concentration is as follows:
This would result in having to increase the temperature even higher so that the depressed vapor pressure might become equal to the external pressure.

 Bizarre Boiling
For example, depending on the temperature conditions of the experiment, the giant bubble would sometimes float in the centre of the liquid and sometime remained attached to the heater surface.
One important product of that early research, though, was a method for building a boiling chamber that let scientists look through the heater surface and watch the liquid right where it contacts the heater.
Already, he says, the series of experiments has come to be regarded as "classic" by today's researchers.

Microgravity Boiling research in Chung's lab.
The main objective of this research is to study the feasibility and physics of using an externally applied force field to replace the terrestrial gravity for the purpose of maintaining nucleate boiling in microgravity.
Depending on the heat flux and high voltage strength, it was found that three electrode geometries (diverging-plate, flat-plate, pin-electrode) effectively moved boiling bubbles away from the vicinity of the heater surface.
Based on visualization photographs, we found that the bubbles were successfully removed from the heater and positioned half a wavelength away from the heater.

Boiling - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The boiling point is defined as the temperature at which the vapor pressure of the substance equals the pressure above the substance.
Boiling is the rapid vaporization of a liquid, which typically occurs when a liquid is heated to a temperature such that its vapor pressure is above that of the surroundings, such as air pressure.
It thus can help prevent cholera, dysentery, and other diseases caused by these organisms.

However, there are several factors that influence the rapidity with which water may be brought to the boiling point; namely, the kind of utensil used, the amount of surface exposed, and the quantity of heat applied.
Another point to observe in the boiling process is that foods boiled rapidly in water have a tendency to lose their shape and are reduced to small pieces if allowed to boil long enough.
A cover placed on a saucepan or a kettle in which food is to be boiled retains the heat, and thus causes the temperature to rise more quickly; besides, a cover so used prevents a loss of water by condensing the steam as it rises against the cover.
