SSRN-The Ambidextrous Lawyer: Conflict of Interest and the Medieval Legal Profession by Jonathan Rose
The paper concludes with some general conclusions regarding the medieval treatment of ambidexterity and by suggesting further areas of useful research.
Finally, the analysis identifies the ways in which medieval conflict of interest regulation is both similar to and dissimilar from its modern treatment.
The paper concludes that these judicially developed loyalty norms were strongest and most commonly and strictly applied to classic ambidexterity, but that loyalty duties were also owed to former clients.

 PT:The Ambidexterity Myth
Movements should be performed on both sides to demonstrate effective basic skills generated by both sides of the brain with their own unique synaptic pathways.
The mechanisms inherent in the process are designed to emphasize situational effectiveness with ambidexterity irrelevant to function.
To achieve certain balanced skills, it is imperative that both sides of the body be active and functional at all times, and never ever passive.

MIT SMR Article, "Building Ambidexterity Into an Organization" - Summer 2004 Julian Birkinshaw and Cristina ...
By means of their survey- and interview-based research — which took place over a three-year period and involved 4,195 respondents across 41 business units in 10 multinational firms — the authors identify the four behaviors displayed by ambidextrous individuals, each of which involves taking independent, adaptive action in the service of overall company goals.
In an attempt to shed new light on the discussion, the authors develop and explore their concept of contextual ambidexterity, which calls for individual employees to make choices between alignment-oriented and adaptation-oriented activities in the context of their day-to-day work.
The authors introduce this as a complementary concept to traditional structural ambidexterity.

 Facts about topic: (Ambidexterity)
In modern times, it is more likely to find people considered ambidextrous who were originally left handed, and learned to be ambidextrous either deliberately or during childhood by indoctrination (Teaching someone to accept doctrines uncritically) through institutions such as schools where right-handed habits (A pattern of behavior acquired through frequent repetition) are often emphasized.
While ambidexterity can be learned, most people still gravitate towards performing certain types of tasks with a specific hand.
The degree of versatility with each hand is generally the qualitative factor in determining a person's ambidexterity.

The edge basically counts as a skill of 2 (since it's a 2-point edge), so in order to eliminate two-weapon penalties a character will still have to get more skill in ambidexterity.

By the same token, it allows characters to do tasks equally well with either hand, so that if one hand is lost, the other can easily take up the slack.
